Year Zero.

I've been somewhat quiet in terms of visible online activity as of late. In fact it goes back quite sometime but the last few months my silence has been more apparent, if not to others then to myself.

Last year was the year of change, Year Zero. I finished University, got my first (shitty) job and tried my best to change things. Some things have changed, family situations have adapted, I've since changed job, I've met some new people and fallen out of contact with others. Friendships have been solidified (often in unexpected places) and others have weakened.

This year, Year One, has been somewhat quiet. Many insecurities and perceived flaws that I have still push down on my head, weighing me down. My usual defences of humour and sarcasm are back in full force and I have become even more insular than before.

But this blog isn't about me. Well ok, this blog itself is....but I hope that the rest wont be.

It's been awhile since I've kept a regular slot on the net. With the demise of the Plex (message board) and my lack of interest in other mb's/blogs I've found myself wanting to type about the things I am reading, watching and just encountering in the world.

This is my new blog. Here I will be (and this is probably my mission statement from here on out) to just give a glimpse into my life and the things I am encountering.

I am a pop culture junkie. As a result my posts will be more orientated towards movies, TV, DVDs, music and so on. On occasion I may lift the curtain and put something personal in here, but hopefully I wont come off as whiny or dull as I sometimes fear a blog I keep could become.

Some of you may not know who I am, even if you know me. Hopefully this will help you to understand me, because I am sure as hell struggling to do so on my end.
